With an ever-increasing demand for energy, and an ever-decreasing supply of energy producing resources, the whole world is heading towards a severe energy crisis. The world supplies of coal, oil, and gas are finite, and WILL run out, yet an increasing number of nations are becoming large-scale consumers as they become more industrialized and more sophisticated in their standard of living.
Add to all this the fact that the methods used currently to generate energy are known to be detrimental to the atmosphere, belching out greenhouse gasses and other pollutants. It is already known that these emissions are increasing the global warming problem, and as more and more power is generated using these traditional resources and methods of production, the problems will only worsen.
It has been estimated that an increase in the earth’s overall temperature of only 2 degrees will have a devastating effect on the natural elements, causing huge swings out of balance in nature and massively destructive tidal waves, earthquakes, tornadoes, forest fires, droughts, floods, etc.. It doesn’t take much imagination to understand the domino effect that will occur with nature so badly out of balance.
Meanwhile, the price of energy for the consumer is also increasing – and this is not likely to lessen, but rather it will increase more rapidly as time goes by and the world’s sources of fossil fuels becomes more and more depleted. I know this all sounds like gloom and doom, but the good news is that knowledge is power and we have knowledge. We can do something about all this, and so make a difference to our family, our community, our nation, our world.
The Governments of many nations around the world are pro-actively responding to the need for alternative, renewable energy sources to supply an ever-increasing proportion of their nation’s energy requirements, and are also looking for ways to lessen the demand on energy.
We, as families and individuals, can also take steps to curb the use of fossil fuels, stem the global warming effect, and save ourselves money into the bargain. It is now possible to live very comfortably – and without reducing our standard of living – by incorporating certain products, design elements, and a little bit of understanding, into our lifestyle. We can use clean, green, renewable energy sources for our power generation, and we can save thousands of dollars on the purchase and installation of a renewable energy system by building our own.
Thousands of people all over the world already have their own renewable energy system operating for them, reducing the pull on fossil-fuelled energy and saving them money 24/7. Why not join them?
